For distributors

Partner with Aurocon to bring intelligent, non-toxic rodent control to your market.

A new category in pest control distribution

Pest control distribution has historically revolved around the same product categories: rodenticides, bait stations, mechanical traps, consumables. These markets are mature, price-pressured, and increasingly constrained by regulation.

Aurotrap represents a different category – a connected, non-toxic, multi-catch rodent control system built around hardware, an IoT platform, and a recurring service model. For distributors with the right market position and ambition, it opens up a new and growing line of business.

What you distribute

Aurotrap is not a single product – it’s a system:

The Aurotrap device

A patented multi-catch trap with a sensor-triggered piston powered by a replaceable CO₂ cartridge. 10+ years of operational lifetime, modular serviceable components.

Aurotrap Mobile

Technicians install and service through a smartphone app, with real-time alerts on captures, CO₂ levels, battery, and location.

Aurotrap Manager

The central hub, providing the overview of every trap, site, technician and more. Instant notifications, detailed statistics, compliance-ready reports.

The operational model

A documented framework for how Aurotrap transforms pest control operations: from schedule-based to condition-based, from manual reporting to automated documentation, from rodenticide-dependent to rodenticide-free.

Why distributors choose Aurocon

Long-term recurring revenue

CO₂ cartridges, replacement parts, and ongoing software platform usage create predictable revenue streams beyond the initial hardware sale.

A differentiated product in a commoditised category

Aurotrap is patented, protected, and operates in a category that did not exist a few years ago. Not a substitute for what’s already on the shelf – something new to bring to your customers.

Regulatory and ESG tailwinds

Across Europe and increasingly globally, rodenticide use is being scrutinised, restricted, and in some categories phased out. Customers are actively looking for credible non-toxic alternatives.

Structured onboarding and product training

Every Aurocon partner receives training delivered directly by Aurocon – technical training on the device, platform training on Aurotrap Mobile and Aurotrap Manager, and operational briefings on positioning the system.

How the Aurotrap works

1.  A rodent approaches

The rodent is lured in by bait. The open-tunnel design keeps neophobia low – rodents accept the trap faster than enclosed stations.

 2. A piston triggers, providing an instant kill

Sensors detect and verify strike position. The piston fires. CO₂-powered, ~30 kg of force. Instant kill, no chemicals.

 3. The rodent slides out – the trap resets

The rodent slides out by itself and the trap resets automatically, ready to strike again. ~80 activations per CO₂ cartridge.

4. Rodent report is sent

The event is reported. Capture, CO₂ level, battery, and trap health stream to the Aurocon platform in real time.

How the partnership works

The Aurocon partner model is straightforward and partner-led. Aurocon delivers the product, platform, and operational documentation. Distributors own the market – sales, customer relationships, local market knowledge, and go-to-market execution. A partnership built around competence and ownership, not dependency.

Who we partner with

Aurocon partners are selected. We evaluate prospective distributors on:

  • Market position – established presence in pest control, professional supplies, or adjacent B2B markets
  • Geographic coverage – defined territory with realistic reach to pest control operators
  • Existing portfolio – relevance and complementarity with current product lines
  • Technical capacity – ability to support an IoT-based product in the field
  • Commercial ambition – willingness to build a new category over time, not just resell

FAQ

What territories is Aurocon currently open in for new distributors?

Aurotrap is available globally, with a small number of strategic exceptions. We are actively expanding partnerships in markets where the right distribution partners are in place – contact us to discuss your territory.

Margin structure is agreed as part of each partner conversation and depends on territory, volume, and the scope of responsibility the distributor takes on. Recurring revenue from CO₂ cartridges, replacement parts, and platform usage usually sits alongside initial hardware margin, depending on how the deal is structured.

Every Aurocon partner receives structured onboarding directly from Aurocon: technical training on the device, platform training on Aurotrap Mobile and Aurotrap Manager, and operational tips on how to position the system to pest control operators in your market.

Beyond the initial hardware sale, recurring revenue comes from CO₂ cartridges (approximately one per 80 captures), replacement modular parts, and ongoing platform usage. As operators scale deployments, the recurring component compounds.

Pest control experience is not a strict requirement, but established presence in pest control, professional supplies, or an adjacent B2B category is a major advantage. We evaluate market position, technical capacity, and commercial ambition as a package.

Exclusivity is discussed on a case-by-case basis and depends on the scope of commitment the partner is prepared to make. We prefer to build the right partnership structure over defaulting to any single commercial template.

There is no fixed minimum. We size initial commitments around the partner’s market plan, geography, and pace of build-up we agree on together – the goal is a partnership that scales sustainably, not a one-off order.
